A PROMINENT campaigner in the US has warned Scotland about the country’s planned AI data centre boom.
Concerns about the rapid expansion of AI data centres in Scotland are being raised by a campaigner with experience of the impact in the United States.
Developers are proposing a number of AI data centres across Scotland, with further projects potentially in the pipeline. As applications increase, questions are being raised about the scale of these developments and their potential impact on communities.
Concerns being raised include the potential impact on energy and water use, local infrastructure and surrounding communities
